This tool will allow you to filter or sort data in programs such as excel and access, then return the data in Maximo for editing.

1.) Copy the column of data from excel or any other application (you can even hand type in the textbox).

2.) Make sure you are in the right Query Converter Module.

3.) Paste into the left textbox and choose the correct button (in this case it's the WoNumber button).

4.) As you push the button, the SQL query gets generated in the right textbox.

5.) Press the copy text button (this will copy the query to the global clipboard).

6.) Now you are ready to paste to the advanced query area in Maximo and execute the query.

Some of the uses for this tool-

Close a lot of work orders at once.

Status a lot of work orders at once.

Query more than one equipment, job plan, or pm, at once.

Cross reference job plans to pm's. (if you have an overview list export of pm's with it's attached job plan numbers, you call pull all the job plans up at once with    out having to hyperlink back and forth).

If you have a list of pm's and you wanted to find all the work orders associated with those pm's, you can run the pm query in the work order module.

you can do the same with equipment, job plans, crews, lead crafts, and so on...
